Jenny Going - Managing Director
Jenny GoingB.Soc.Sc., Dip.T,, Dip.Mus(USA)., Dip. Bus.Admin.
As a secondary school Head of Music for 10 years, Jenny worked in a variety of schools, curriculums, and with a vast variety of music students. In this roll Jenny was fully involved with every aspect of music within schools from admin, performance group conducting and managing, Directing school productions, and growing and developing her music departments. Her musical experience has seen her work as a conductor for Orchestras, Music Theatre and Concert Bands as well as being music director for The ZHFM Hamilton Big Band. As a Trombonist, Jenny has performed in a variety of groups and styles on both sides of the Tasman. In America Jenny performed with many Jazz Groups in and around Philadelphia and New York. She also performed, toured and recorded with ‘Ruder than you’ a Philadelphia ska band. In 2006 Jenny retired (extremely young) to start Noteable – music education resources.

Bernie has been involved in the Australasian music industry for many years. During his stellar career he has received the QSM, Apra Silver Scroll and the  NZ Variety artists scroll of honour, to name a few.  Bernie has been a Jazz studies Lecturer at Queensland Conservatorium /Griffith University and Auckland University School of Performing Arts. He has been Director of Music for South Pacific Television and Television New Zealand, producing many of there most successful shows. It was here that he perfected his arranging talents.  He has been record producer for such greats as Rob Quest and Billy T. James. As Musical Director Bernie has worked with them all; from Harry Secombe to Roy Orbison, from Dizzy Gillespie to The Bee Gees.  As a performer he has again worked with the best including Shirley Bassey, Dionne Warwick,  Manhattan Transfer, Sammy Davis Junior, Bob Hope, Dave Brubeck and Sarah Vaughn and that is the tip of the iceberg. Bernie is a highly successful band leader, teacher, saxophonist, arranger, and composer and we are honoured to have him as part of the Noteable team.

Glen Parr started his musical career in the military where he moved through the ranks to Captain and 2IC of the Australian Army Band, Melbourne. He oversaw the Army Reserve bands throughout Victoria and was senior instructor and Trainee Musician Training Development Officer at the Defense Force School of Music. During this time he also held the post Principal Music writer, arranging charts for specific occasions and guest artists. Glen specialized in arranging existing charts for the particular instrument settings of whichever ensemble he was preparing, anything from small to medium jazz ensembles and wind choirs up to large marching bands and symphonic wind bands. Glen has been band leader, arranger, performer and conductor for many youth and community ensembles in both Australia and NZ Glen was appointed Director of Music for the Australian Youth Band Southern Stars 1993- 1995 before moving next door to take up the rank of  Director of Music, for the Royal New Zealand Navy Band. After many successful years in this position he left the military and moved into the music education field and is currently Director of Music at Hamilton Girl’s High School.Glen brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience to the Noteable team.
